Meet the Owners
Our History
Upstate College of Cosmetology has been a leader in cosmetology education under new management since 2015. We have a proven track record of helping students achieve their dreams of becoming successful cosmetologists. Meet the owners.
Bethany Haile
I have been in the beauty industry for over 20 years. I am a licensed Cosmetologist, Makeup Artist, and owner of Bethany's Studio 1. In 2015 I decided to purchase the school to share my experience with aspiring students. My Biggest Accomplishment is being a mother to my three beautiful daughters.
Lynn Ellenburg
Before venturing into the hair world, I worked as a Registered Nurse and a volunteer as a Parish Nurse. As an Entrepreneur, I've worked in direct & online retail sales. I have a large extended family that helps to fill my world with love. I am involved with several area ministries including Pickens County Shelter of Hope. In 2016, my involvement with the school opened the door for me to become part owner of a cosmetology association for continuing education classes, Upstate Hair Skin and Nails. My work as an RN with Dr. William Scott has led to a new career as a Laser Tech, Lasers by Lynn. While owning and operating our amazing cosmetology school, I still work part-time as an RN and Laser Tech and volunteer as a Parish Nurse.
